Looking Back, Looking Ahead

We would like to take a moment to look back, but even more so, to look ahead to the new motorsport season. Our lineup is as promising as ever and we’re happy to run you through our mix of familiar and new faces as we present to you: Lorenzo Baldassari.

MOTO2 – MV AUGUSTA FORWARD RACING

We are excited to announce a new classmate in the group of #revitriders: Lorenzo Baldassari. Between 2015 and 2017, Lorenzo Baldassari was part of the MV Augusta Forward Racing already. Next to fellow #revitrider, Simone Corsi, Lorenzo will return to this team, but then in REV’IT! leathers!

On his Twitter account, Balda - as most people call him - writes in his profile: “A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work!!!” All we can say is; bring it on, Balda! We are looking forward to shaping the future together!

Looking Back

“I think last year was a weird, crazy season for everyone, but especially for me. I started very well in Qatar with the podium. Then some difficulties arrived. During the season, we faced various problems and the confidence with the whole package was lacking a little, but I didn't give up and I managed to rebuild the feeling. We concluded the season with rather positive results even if it was not what we expected.”

Looking Ahead

Preparations for this season are in full swing, with Lorenzo currently hitting the gym and enjoying some off-road sessions. He’s doing everything he needs to do to get the MV Agusta Forward Racing Team in the best possible shape for racing.

“First of all, it is an honor to race for MV Agusta, such a historic brand. It is a very interesting adventure, and I can't wait to start it because I am sure we will gather important satisfactions. My first goal is to immediately try to get a good feeling with the bike and with the team to then be able to get good results and fight for the positions that matter, as soon as possible. Being mentally and physically fit certainly contributes to this.”

We are proud to see Balda joining the squad of #revitriders. This season, he joins the MV Agusta Forward Team alongside to #revitrider, Simone Corsi. “This year also begins a new path with the REV’IT! suit and I am very happy to be part of their family. With Simone Corsi, my new teammate, I have already shared the box during the first year I raced with the Forward Team. We have always had a good relationship, so I'm sure there will be a good atmosphere.”
