Keep riding in comfort and safety despite rising temperatures with the REV’IT! Airwave 3: our stylish and affordable jacket for hot weather motorcycling. The PWR|shell mesh panels at the front, back, and arms provide a continuous flow of air to keep the rider cool out on the open road. On the safety side, CE-level 1 SEESMART™ armour at the shoulders and elbows keep riders protected. The Airwave 3 can further be fortified via our SEESOFT™ CE-level 1 divided chest protectors and SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector. The jacket can then be connected to jeans with the double jeans loop. Abrasion resistant stretch ripstop chest panels help improve comfort and flexibility on the bike while adjustment tabs on the arms, and straps on the hips, will help riders achieve the perfect fit every time.
I would have preferred the light/silver version to reflect more heat from the sun but settled on the black as it was available.
The Pros:
I have had a few of this jacket before. The latest model has much better zips and much better armour. Better and more comfortable neck lining too.
Overall a good upgrade from the older versions.
The Cons:
I think the sizing is a bit smaller. I replaced my old one with the exact same size, yet the newer one seems tighter. I can live with it, but did appreciate the looser fit.
The Velcro on the armour pockets can be scratchy. I have trimmed it and glued the comfort liner to it, hoping that keeps the sharp velcro away from my skin.
This is my second Rev’it jacket and I am again happy with the fit, comfort and quality.
I used the sizing from the Revit sizing table as a reference. I chose one size larger from experience with similar European-styled jackets & happy I did. I like the stretch in the arms at the back. Very surprised by just how much air flowed through the jacket on the first hot ride.
Mostly very happy. My jacket did not fit me and was well over sized but i did measure and order as per Revit sizing table. it was a full size bigger than I needed so bear this in mind. It cost me $45 to return and because they have no system in place to handle such issues I had to stump up for another jacket and then send the oversize one back for a refund. It took maybe a month between receiving the wrong size and finally getting the refund but this was for the jacket only, not the postage back. Perhaps Revit should make this process easier but all that aside I am happy with my jacket
This jacket is very comfortable, light & is cool in summer with very good airflow while at the same time feels as safe as any good jacket. I recommend it.
